Association of James Braid Courses

The Association of James Braid Courses is a collection of golf courses in Britain, Ireland, and New York. To be included in this iconic group, the golf course had to be designed, re-designed or re-bunkered by James Braid.

There are over four hundred golf courses that are proud to be part of the Association of James Braid Courses. This central list of member courses is updated each year. It allows golfers to receive reduced green fees from golf courses that are associated with their home club.

At Bangor Golf Club, our members can often enjoy preferential green fees at a selection of courses. This exciting partnership enables our members to sample many James Braid courses and enjoy the layouts created by one of the world’s great course designers.

How Do You Take Advantage Of These Offers?
Bangor Golf Club is honoured to be associated with several twinned clubs across Ireland. We encourage our members to take advantage of the reduced green fees and get a taste of golf around the country for a fraction of the cost.

To play golf at one of our twinned clubs, our members must follow the steps listed below.

1. Members should make tee reservations at least twenty-four hours in advance.
2. When doing so, state that you are booking a tee time under the 'Association of James Braid Courses' scheme.
3. You will be required to provide proof of home club to Professional on your arrival – either handicap certificate or bar card.
4. Bookings are accepted based only on the relevant golf club's tee availability.
5. The green fee to be paid is equivalent to the member's guest rate for that particular course.
6. Green fees are valid for both Ladies and Gentlemen.
7. These rates are for members of Bangor Golf Club only. Therefore, they are not available for a group or society of members.
